KNX Control
KNX stands for Konnex, for connection. KNX is a technology to network all electrical functions in the house.
As our everyday lives have become more and more fast-moving and our consumer goods are subject to a shorter lifespan, the change to new technologies in our homes is rather faltering. Smartphones and cars, for example, are developed from scratch every year because their lifespan is limited.
The key to an intelligent building lies in the various interlinked sensors and actuators and their interaction. A so-called bus system is used for this purpose. Here, each sensor and actuator communicate with each other and does not have to pass the signal through a distributor.
Here is a short list of sensors that give information to the bus:

Here is a short list of sensors that give information to the bus:
- Light switch
- Dimm switch
- Motion detector
- Presence detectors (detect whether a person is in the room even without movement)
- Window and door contacts (safety applications, heating control)
- Doorbell button on the front door
- Consumption meters for water, gas, electrical energy, quantities of heat
- Overvoltage sensors
- Temperature sensor for indoor and outdoor air
- Temperature sensors in heating and hot water circuits
- Modules for preselecting the target room temperature
